Constipation: Gas accumulation or hardened stools moving slowly through
the colon (large intestine) are the two main causes of constipation pain.
Food allergies:
Immunoglobulin E (IgE) antibodies are the cause of these
allergies, which can cause an inflammatory reaction in the digestive tract that
results in cramps, stomachaches, nausea, and diarrhea.
Food poisoning:
When the body attempts to rid itself of bacteria like Salmonella and E. coli, poisoning can result in nausea, cramping, vomiting, and stomach pain.
Aspirin, alcohol, H. pylori infections, and excessive
stress can all cause gastritis, which is inflammation of the stomach lining.
Disease of gastroesophageal reflux (GERD):
Acid
reflux is another name for this condition, which occurs when stomach acid backs
up into the esophagus (food pipe), resulting in regurgitation, stomach pain,
and a burning feeling in the chest or throat.
Indigestion:
Also called dyspepsia, indigestion
is frequently brought on by overeating, eating too rapidly, consuming fatty or
spicy foods, consuming excessive amounts of alcohol or caffeine, smoking, experiencing
anxiety, or taking certain medications (such as painkillers or antibiotics)
Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS):
This poorly
understood illness results in discomfort in the abdomen, cramping, gas,
bloating, diarrhea, and constipation due to inflammation in the digestive
tract.
Menstrual cramps:
The uterine lining sheds as a result of prostaglandin, one of the hormones released during your period. Additionally, prostaglandin can enter the bloodstream and cause diarrhea, cramps, nausea, and vomiting
Stomach flu:
Also referred to as gastroenteritis, stomach flu is a frequent childhood illness that is typically brought on by the rotavirus. Norovirus is a more frequent cause in adults.
